The beauty of a snail…yes it is possible to see beauty even in this slimy little creature.
God’s creation is amazing, even in what we see as the simplest, least desirable creatures of His making, as the detail on such a critter, has remarkable order and design.
Our Creator never makes anything without a chief purpose, what is that purpose? To glorify Him!
Just like you and me!
We might sometimes feel like a small speck on the earth, of no great worth or use to such a great and glorious God, but this is not so! We are His masterpiece, and if we be His beloved child whose name is written in the palm of His hand; rest assured He has great and wonderful plans for you as it is written in His infallible, unchanging Word. That, dear readers is a reason to humbly rejoice, and marvel of His goodness to us!
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
What overwhelming blessings our Lord has given, and a glorious purpose for living the Christian life; for in living for our Master’s glory, we have a blessed purpose, and cherished life, loved by One Who loves us so dearly.
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.”
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
The gospel of Christ, is the very essence of the Christian life. Jesus’ great sacrifice for His beloved children gives us much to live for, and makes us of great value.
May we rejoice in the simple things, and take care to remember that though we may seem like “specs on the earth”, we are very special and of great importance to the King of Kings who created us, and gave His life for us that we might live a new life in His Name, and of forgiveness while looking forward to a future of praising and worshiping Christ forever in heaven.
“How deep the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Behold the man upon the cross
My sin upon His shoulder
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom”
