“The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord!”
~Job 1:21 b~
These sweet puppy eyes I greatly miss on the farm.
Before Tucker became part of our farming family (see HERE, and HERE), this fun and rambunctious canine named Ruger was filling our days with the new experience of raising a puppy…..something we did not have the privilege to do in the city where we used to live.
It was quite the adventure, until he was suddenly injured and did not pull through, and was put to sleep.
It was a hard time for everyone, but we are thankful for Tucker filling that empty spot in our lives, and livening things up on our farm with his tremendous amount of energy, spunk, and love for the people who care for him and those who come to visit our farm, and has proven quite useful in ‘weeding out’ the voles that have been making their home in our field.
He has become a great companion to have on the homestead, and love him to pieces!
The Lord always has a purpose and plan in all He does, though we may not always understand, it is always for our good, and to bring Him glory:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Photos like this remind me to be thankful for every critter the Lord blesses us with and enjoying every moment we have with them not knowing when it will be our last, and savor those sweet moments.
Resting in His promises,
Miss Antoinette Joy
