With the summer garden winding down now, and preparations for the fall/winter seasons commencing, it was time for a much needed getaway to recoup, and enjoy God’s wonderful creation in a different piece of lovely countryside; and that place happened to be two lovely days spent in Gatlinburg Tennessee, shopping and hiking in the beautiful Pigeon Forge area with both of my lovely parents, which made for a very nice little trip!
Because the sumer months were so busy, my last post were all photos I had taken on my phone, so it was very nice to dust off my poor camera, and do some real photo taking the way I enjoy it best (though it is very nice to have such a good camera on my phone for those days I cannot pull out my Canon and still share photos with y’all)! *grins*
There is always so much to look at in God’s beautiful creation, wherever you are, even in the smallest of things; and in all honesty sometimes we find the most beauty in those little things if we stop and take the time to really look at them….
“O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.”
“I lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”
As the weather cools, and the seasons change, and little getaways like this come and go; what a blessing to know there is One who never changes and is not only with us every moment of every day, but He has created all these awesome scenes to behold every day we live here on this amazing planet!
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
May we never take the little things for granted; for it is in the simple things we can find the greatest blessings!
Soli Deo Gloria,
